I was one of the people affected by the error in the billing. I was only able to correct the error by contacting the PUC. My initial call to CenterPoint was handled poorly. I was told "this is a back office issue so there is nothing I can do" by both the call center person and their supervisor. I was then told that someone senior to the supervisor would call me, but that never occurred. I was told by the PUC that they reviewed my case with CenterPoint. The treatment and care I received from the PUC was incredibly good. That person was professional and diligent in their treatment of this case. CenterPoint should model their training for customer service based on how I was treated by Pa Stelzner from the PUC. In my opinion CenterPoint needs to vastly improve how they treat customers in their call center.
