The commission should NOT approve the requested site permit amendments relating to turbine diameter, restarting 30 year permit term for the expiration date and especially lessening the setback distance between rotor blades and adjacent property lines. This seems like the typical routine of changing the parameters after initial approvals or, in common parlance "moving the goal posts after the game has started". I own property in Martin County and am opposed to any more windmills or to making them larger. I can count 100 windmills from my mail box. Please do NOT increase rotor size or decrease setbacks, which will only threaten more bird life.
I believe more environmental studies need to be performed to support that the changes will not threaten wildlife, or increase the already significant sound these monster machines generate.
