There is a dire need to change the policies, billings and flippant ways that utility companies can shut off power especially during the extreme weather conditions across the nation. I myself had a furnace go out, electric panel go out, pipes freeze and had to heat with a space heater and had ice damns. I am now having to chose to pay exorbitant utilities or my mortgage. I AM NOT ALONE! This alone could cause another housing crash! I am writing the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission as well as the White House, as well as as many utility companies and customers as possible. Utilities are actually a necessity to living.
